Saint Pantaleon les Vignes Grande Reserve (2017) Côtes du Rhône Villages AOC. Domaine Gigondan

Plot: 90-100 years old vines growing on a clay-sandy terrace and a rocky plateau.

Grape variety: Grenache

Wine making: Hand-picked grapes with optimal phenol level. Strict sorting on the plot. Fermentation in whole bunches at low temperature (30-35 days). 2 pumping daily.

Taste: dark brown red, with purple and black reflections. Very expressive, rich scent. With notes of blackberry, blackcurrant and wild raspberry. An aromatic palette that surrounds the palate with great and complex flavors. The taste fits perfectly with strength and fullness. Strong and pleasantly powerful, straight and long aftertaste.

Food recommendation: well with wild animal roast, stews, peppers, meat in a spicy sauce, strong cheeses.

Suitable for storage : 8-10 years.

Open 3-4 hours before serving. Serving temperature 18 ° to 20 °

The exceptional nature of this wine means that it is produced only in the best years. 2017 was a very good year for the Southern Rhône.
